Faisal Khwaileh

Faisal Khwaileh is completing the Double Masters of Digital Entrepreneurship program (MoDE) at The European New School of Digital Studies (ENS), a transdisciplinary, international double-degree program, that explores the digital economy through business, political, sociological and legal perspectives, where students have the chance to implement their own digital projects. He is also a research assistant at the Chair of Sociology of Technology, home of the Science & Technology Studies Group, with research focuses on three larger areas: Infrastructuring Digital Europe, Co-Creation und Critical Prototyping and Digital and Inventive Methods, in projects such as project DataSkop, which is an attempt at understanding the recommendation algorithms of YouTube & TikTok using data donation methods, and project Calculating Migration which examines algorithmic governance in the realm of migration and border management. He also curates the ENS Film Club, which is an open invitation event where students attend, watch and discuss films to try and understand the technologies of today through the lens of cinema.
