Matthias Groeschel

Matthias Groeschel graduated with an MD-PhD from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He conducted his PhD thesis at the Institut Pasteur in Paris and the Research Center Borstel which comprised experimental work on recombinant BCG strains and genomic analyses of pathogenic bacteria. He then joined the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School to study how machine learning can help diagnose antibiotic resistance in tuberculosis. Currently, Dr Groeschel supports several AI for Health projects at ITU, including AI for Good webinars and the Focus Group on AI for Health.
