Andrej Verity

Andrej is an information and technology professional who has been working at the intersection of humanitarianism and digital technologies for two decades. He has responded to several major disasters as an information management officer and is UN Disaster Assessment & Coordination (UNDAC) trained. Andrej co-founded the Digital Humanitarian Network and lead UN-OCHA’s collaboration with various volunteer-based digital humanitarian organizations. He continued to promote and lobby for more remote-enabled responses. In his work, Andrej also conducts research with the aim to produce practical guidance or explanatory papers for the humanitarian sector.
