Alessia Magliarditi

Alessia Magliarditi is Programme Coordinator in the Telecommunication Standardization Policy Department of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB). She leads the TSB Academia team and coordinates various ITU academic initiatives, including the ITU Kaleidoscope academic conferences, the main ITU interface with universities and research institutions. She also manages the ITU Journal on Future and Evolving Technologies (ITU J-FET)​ which provides complete coverage of all communications and networking paradigms, free of charge for both readers and authors.

Alessia joined ITU in 2006 working in the Ext​ernal Affairs and Corporate Communication Division of the General Secretariat. She was in charge of external relations, liaising with governments, permanent missions, UN agencies, international organizations, ITU regional offices, and universities. Prior to joining ITU, she worked at the ILO from 2003. She was responsible for external relations with UN agencies, social partners, NGOs and universities, encouraging them to sign partnership agreements with ILO.

Alessia holds an M.A in Social Sciences from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome, and an M.A in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from “LUMSA” University of Rome. She is Italian mother tongue and speaks fluently English, French and Spanish.
