Alessia Magliarditi

Alessia Magliarditi is the ITU Journal and ITU-T Academia Coordinator within the Strategic Tech and Academia Initiatives Division of the Strategic Engagement Department at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB). She leads academic engagement activities, fostering collaboration with universities and research institutions worldwide, and coordinates key initiatives such as the ITU Kaleidoscope academic conferences.

She also manages the publications and webinars of the ITU Journal on Future and Evolving Technologies (ITU J-FET), ITU’s open-access scholarly journal dedicated to research on emerging technologies.

Since joining ITU in 2006, Alessia has held roles in strategic engagement, partnerships, and external relations. Prior to ITU, she worked at the International Labour Organization (ILO), where she developed partnerships with international organizations, NGOs, and academic institutions.

She holds Master’s degrees in Social Sciences from La Sapienza University of Rome and in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from LUMSA University. She is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
