AI is reshaping job roles faster than education systems and training pathways can realistically adapt. Curriculum cycles measured in years are colliding with technological change measured in months, and the gap is widening fastest in the regions and communities already furthest from opportunity, including the Global South and marginalized communities within the Global North.

This panel examines what it will take to build education and skills systems that can keep pace with AI. Drawing on perspectives from industry, civil society, EdTech, and Indigenous workforce leadership, panelists will explore practical approaches for shortening the distance between emerging industry needs and how people learn new capabilities. The conversation will look at how schools, training programs, and technology platforms can evolve continuously rather than episodically, and how global capacity-building can expand access to AI literacy and technical skills so that emerging economies participate meaningfully in the AI ecosystem rather than simply consume its outputs.

Panelists will also examine how rapid AI-driven transformation risks reinforcing existing global divides, and what system-level choices can promote broader participation. The session is designed to leave policymakers, educators, and technology leaders with concrete ideas for preparing societies for rapidly advancing AI systems.
