Louis Stewart

Louis Stewart is Head of Ecosystem Development at NVIDIA, where he helps build the “human layer” that makes advanced computing usable at scale. He leads ecosystem engagement and market readiness through K-to-career programs that connect governments, higher education institutions (including HBCUs, HSIs, and community colleges), industry partners, and learning communities to grow tech preparedness, expand the developer base, and turn AI momentum into real workforce outcomes.

Before NVIDIA, Mr. Stewart served as the City of Sacramento’s first Chief Innovation Officer, driving long-term economic growth and job creation by fostering public-private collaboration, reducing friction, and supporting entrepreneurs and high-quality job creation. Earlier, he spent seven years in California’s Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development as Deputy Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where he helped coordinate statewide innovation initiatives and led a network of regional innovation clusters.

Raised in France and Italy, Mr. Stewart played professional basketball in Peru and Belgium. He is a Nehemiah Sr. Fellow for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and earned his B.A. from Santa Clara University.
