Wei Zheng

Wei is an Associate Professor at the HUST State Key Laboratory of Advanced Electromagnetic Technology (AET, HUST), International Joint Research Laboratory of Magnetic Confinement Fusion and Plasma Physics (IFPP). His main interests cover machine learning applications for the prediction and control of disruptions and other instabilities in tokamaks, as well as control system for large-scale experimental facility. Wei collaborates closely with the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Plasma Physics and the Southwestern Institute of Physics, bringing an innovative approach to the challenging realm of MHD instabilities.

 

Wei leads the IFPP Artificial Intelligence & Instabilities group, employing machine learning algorithms to address issues concerning MHD instabilities and their control.
