OPEN_MIND

Born in the heart of West Africa, Team OPEN_MIND Burkina Faso embodies an ambitious generation of young people, constantly pushing their limits to harness technology in service of the world.
Supported by PROGRAMMING SCHOOL (PSCHOOL), a STEAM excellence center based in Ouagadougou, our team brings together young innovators trained in robotics, artificial intelligence, and coding from as early as age 5. With over 2,000 learners trained since 2021, PSCHOOL has cultivated a generation of problem-solvers, capable of turning real-world challenges into functional prototypes.
For this 2025–2026 edition dedicated to food security, our team took on the challenge with a sharp awareness of African realities: limited access to agricultural resources, climate unpredictability, and an urgent need for local innovation. Our robots are not mere machines — they are a reflection of our commitment to envisioning a future where AI and robotics make a concrete difference in feeding the most vulnerable communities.
What sets us apart? A team spirit forged through perseverance, the ability to excel even with limited resources, and the deep conviction that young people from Burkina Faso have their place on the global stage of innovation. We come to Geneva not only to compete, but to prove that Africa builds, thinks, and innovates for the common good.
