Olivier Dessibourg

Olivier Dessibourg is an award-winning science journalist and editor. He is currently Deputy Head of Science&Environment TV news for the Swiss public broadcaster RTS. Until 2016, he headed the Science section of the newspaper Le Temps. He is a lecturer on science journalism at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland). A physicist, mathematician and science teacher by training, he also worked as a freelance for various media outlets, including NewScientist (UK), Le Monde and La Recherche (France). He was the 2012-2019 President of the Swiss Association of Science Journalism SASJ and the Swiss delegate to the World Federation of Science Journalists. A book author and event moderator, he chaired the Organization committee for the World Conference of Science Journalists 2019 in Lausanne. Between 2020 and 2022, he acted as Executive Director for Science Communication at GESDA, a swiss foundation dedicated to science diplomacy, for which he organized the Geneva Science & Diplomacy Anticipation Summit..
