MinaBot

We are MinaBot, a team of three junior students united by our passion for innovation and problem-solving, guided by one mentor. For the AI for Good Youth Challenge on March 28, we chose to focus on agriculture because it plays a vital role in our community and economy.

We identified a major challenge: many farmers still rely on manual irrigation methods, which can lead to water waste, uneven crop growth, and significant time and effort. To address this, we developed MinaBot — a smart irrigation robot designed to make farming more efficient and sustainable.

Our solution uses robotics and simple intelligent systems to monitor soil conditions and control irrigation automatically. MinaBot ensures that crops receive the right amount of water at the right time, helping farmers save water, reduce workload, and improve productivity.

Through this project, we have grown not only in technical skills like robotics and design, but also in teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking. We learned how to take an idea from a problem to a practical solution that can create real impact.

MinaBot is more than just a project for us — it is a reflection of our belief that young people can use technology to solve real challenges in their communities. We are proud to contribute a solution that supports farmers and promotes a more sustainable future.
