Jeremy Kingsley

Jeremy Kingsley is the founder and principal of Outside Context, a strategic foresight and advisory firm. He helps governments and businesses anticipate how AI and other emerging technologies are reshaping the economy, society and the state. Previously he was head of foresight at the think-tank and consultancy arm of The Economist Group, where he built its scenarios and foresight practice and oversaw research and editorial on technology and innovation globally. Earlier he was technology editor at The Economist Intelligence Unit and before that a senior researcher in technology futures at Nesta, the innovation foundation, the innovation foundation, where he designed innovation prizes addressing societal challenges and co-founded The Long + Short, its magazine on innovation. He began his career as a journalist, serving as contributing editor at WIRED and reporting on technology and business issues for The Economist, the Financial Times, Slate and others. He holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Trinity College Dublin, and is a Fellow of the RSA.
