DEERBOT ‎

DEERBOT is a team from Escuela Secundaria Técnica No. 1 “Álvaro Obregón” in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Our team is made up of young students passionate about robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, and environmental conservation.

Our project, “Sowing the Future Along the Monarch Butterfly Route,” combines artificial intelligence, drones, and educational robotics to help restore ecosystems and support the conservation of the monarch butterfly during its migratory journey.

We developed robotic prototypes capable of simulating intelligent seed dispersal in strategic areas, using programming and automation as tools to address real environmental challenges. Our goal is to demonstrate that technology can become a powerful ally of nature and local communities.

Through dedication, creativity, and teamwork, we won First Place in the Junior Category and received the Innovation Award at the national competition “AI for Good Youth Challenge Mexico 2026,” earning the honor of representing Mexico at the international finals in Geneva, Switzerland.

As technical secondary school students, we believe that education, science, and innovation can transform lives. We want to inspire young people around the world to use artificial intelligence and robotics to build a more sustainable, responsible, and hopeful future for our planet.
