  • Date
    8 July 2026
    Timeframe
    12:15 - 12:45 CEST
    Duration
    30 minutes

The newly launched AI for Good Global Commission brings together more than 40 Founding Commissioners — including Heads of State and Government, industry CEOs and top executives, and Heads of UN agencies — to help define practical pathways to strengthen trust, expand access and unlock AI’s potential to solve real-world challenges at the speed the technology demands.

12:15-12:30 In the first part of this session, Commission Co-Chairs H.E. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, and Marc Benioff, CEO and Chair of Salesforce, join a fireside chat moderated by Commission Vice-Chair Doreen Bogdan-Martin, ITU Secretary-General, to share how connecting leaders who build technology, deploy it at scale, shape policy and represent communities can help forge responsible AI solutions across sectors and borders.

12:32-12:45 During the second half, Commission Vice-Chair ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin will introduce the Summit to some of the founding Commissioners: H.E. Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information, Singapore and Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, and Father Eric Salobir, President, Human Technology Foundation and Expert to the Holy See, who will share insights on why they joined this unique group of change-makers in the global AI landscape.
