The Spartans

The Spartans

The Spartans: Innovation with Purpose from Margarita Island:
Proudly representing Venezuela’s Colegio Guayamurí, “The Spartans” robotics team emerges as a creative force that combines technical excellence with deep social commitment. Under the philosophy that technology should be a driver of positive change, this team of young talents has established itself as a benchmark for innovation in the island region.

The structure of “The Spartans” stands out for its balance and operational synergy:
– Hassan Hammoud: Leads the team with a strategic vision, coordinating efforts to transform abstract ideas into tangible solutions.
– Manuel Makencie: As the lead programmer, he is in charge of bringing the hardware to life, translating complex challenges into efficient lines of code.
– David Rosario: Ensures the viability of the project as head of logistics, managing the resources and organization necessary for success in each competition.

This young talent has the experienced guidance of Alberto Medina and Alfredo Makencie, who act as coaches, providing the necessary mentoring to enhance the technical and human skills of the group.
Driven by the state-of-the-art academic environment of Colegio Guayamurí, under the coordination of Prof. Mariacristina González, “The Spartans” not only builds robots; develops tools aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Its participation in the AI for Good initiative reaffirms its goal: to demonstrate that, from any corner of the world, ingenuity and artificial intelligence can work hand in hand to build a more equitable and sustainable future.
