Skylab Robotics

Skylab Robotics is a youth-led robotics team from The Gambia dedicated to empowering young people through science, technology, engineering, and innovation. Our team is made up of passionate students and mentors who work together to design, build, and program robots that solve real-world challenges while promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Over the years, Skylab Robotics has represented The Gambia in international robotics competitions and STEM events, inspiring more young people in our community to explore robotics and artificial intelligence. Through mentorship and hands-on learning, we aim to create opportunities for students to develop technical skills and confidence in technology.

For the AI for Good Youth Challenge, our team focused on building a robot that is efficient, reliable, and capable of completing competition tasks accurately. We collaborated on the robot’s mechanical design, programming, testing, and strategy development while learning the importance of persistence, innovation, and teamwork.

As a team, we believe robotics and AI can help solve global challenges and create a better future for communities around the world.
