SA Junior Team

SA Junior Team

The SA Junior Team is made up of exceptionally young students, with the youngest only 8 years old and an average age of under 10. Despite their age, they have shown remarkable passion, commitment, and capability in robotics and coding from an early stage.

Many of the team members have systematically studied with Leading Coding, building their skills step by step through LEGO Robotics, Scratch, and algorithmic thinking. They have also participated in a range of competitions, which has helped them develop not only technical ability, but also confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

What makes this team especially impressive is their calmness and adaptability in competition. Even under pressure, they are able to stay focused, rewrite code from scratch when necessary, make live changes, debug on the spot, and continue improving their solutions. They are also able to clearly explain their thinking and decision-making process to others, showing strong communication skills as well as technical understanding.

The team works closely together, supports one another, and demonstrates that age is no barrier to creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. As Australia’s Junior Team, they are proud to represent their country and to show how young children can use robotics, coding, and AI-inspired thinking to contribute to a better future.
