Dominique Würges

Dominique Würges is Chairman of ITU-T Study Group 5 ​(Environment, climate action, circular economy and electromagnetic fields) and Director of Institutional Relations for Standardisation within Orange. He has responsibility for relationships with international organizations involved in standardization activities. He is active in many issues addressed by SDOs and foras, such as ICTs and environment, relations between carriers, or evolution of the broadcasting standardisation and system. Within European Commission, he is Member of the European High-Level Forum for Standardisation (HLF), and the ICT Standardisation policy multi-stakeholder platform for ICTs standardization. He is also member of the Strategic Committee of the French National Standardisation Organisation (AFNOR CCPN). He has previously been responsible for France Telecom’s External Relations and multilateral affairs, in charge of international negotiations for telecommunications, spectrum /radiocommunications issues, and before was Head of the Data and Directories Department of France Telecom.  

Education:  

  • Diploma from the ENSPTT/ENA (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des PTT);  
  • Master’s Degree in Telecommunications and Broadcasting Management (Paris Dauphine);  
  • Diploma from Political Science Institute in Strasbourg.
