Christopher Fabian

Christopher Fabian builds large-scale digital infrastructure. He is Head of Digital Inclusion at UNICEF and lead and co-founder of Giga, the UNICEF and ITU partnership launched in 2018 to connect every school in the world to the internet. His teams, hosted by the Governments of Spain and Switzerland, have supported connectivity for more than 27 million young people and helped mobilize over USD 960 million in network financing, working across mapping, financing mechanisms, and the regulatory instruments that make access viable, including connectivity credits and fair-pricing marketplaces. He earlier founded UNICEF’s Innovation Unit, Venture Fund, and Crypto Fund (the first in the public sector), advised two UN Secretary-Generals, as well as multiple governments on blockchain and technology policy, and serves on boards across govtech, data science, and artificial intelligence.
