Blagoj Delipetrev

Blagoj Delipetrev is a distinguished AI developer and academic, armed with doctorates in Computer Science. He earned his PhD in Machine Learning and AI optimization algorithms from Delft University of Technology (2010-2016), complemented by a second PhD in Cloud Computing applications from the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius (2007-2011). With over a decade of expertise in AI research and project leadership, Blagoj has become a leading figure in his field.

In his role at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (2017-2023), Blagoj was a Scientific Officer and task leader for the AI WATCH project, contributing to the European Strategy for AI and Data, with a particular focus on the development of generative AI. He was promoted to the role of full Professor of Computer Science in 2021 and served as a management board member at MarNet (2015-2017), markedly enhancing the integration of ICT in academia and research.

Blagoj’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to found BITT Solutions in 2015, where he also served as CEO, steering the company to the forefront of AI consultancy and software outsourcing. His strategic foresight has culminated in the development of transformative AI solutions across various sectors. Blagoj’s unwavering commitment to employing AI technology for societal good motivates his ongoing quest for innovative AI applications. His devotion to both theoretical advancement and practical application guarantees that his endeavors extend beyond academic contribution, fostering tangible societal progress.
