Azis Abakirov

Azis Abakirov is a pioneer of Kyrgyzstan’s tech sector, founding Unique Technologies in 2003, one of the country’s first software companies. He later established the Kyrgyz Software and Services Developers’ Association (KSSDA) and the Hi-Tech Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, shaping the nation’s digital ecosystem for decades.

Today, Abakirov is actively building the Kyrgyz AI Research Institute and fostering a vibrant domestic AI community. His landmark achievement is #KaniTTS—an open-source language AI model built entirely in Kyrgyzstan, proving that small nations can innovate without massive capital. Today, the project supports diverse languages, including English, German, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Kyrgyz, Urdu, and Creole.

Championing #AIForAll and #AIForEveryLanguage, Abakirov advocates for AI democratization worldwide. His mission is to transform developing nations into AI powerhouses, empowering minority language communities to build their own systems, safeguard cultural identity, and secure digital sovereignty.

He invites countries and global experts to join this coalition, proving that AI innovation belongs to every culture and every language—not just tech giants.
