GOLESTAN SALLY RADWANAdvisor to the Minister for Artificial IntelligenceMinistry of Communications and Information Technology of Arabic Republic of EgyptGolestan Abbas Kamel Radwan is the Advisor to the Minister for Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). Radwan possesses over 17 years of experience in technology areas, with international experience in AI, cloud computing, engineering management, strategic planning and product management. Prior to her appointment at MCIT, Radwan held several executive positions. She served as Director of AI Products Unit at London-based health tech startup Babylon Health, where she led the AI product portfolio, leading a team of doctors, engineers, and AI scientists and designers to create an intelligent mobile platform for medical diagnosis, predictive health and chronic disease management. Before Babylon, Radwan spent over 10 years in the technology industry in Germany, UK and US, where she held various positions in engineering management, strategic planning and product management. She was the Vice President of Product Strategy at OnApp-UK for cloud management systems, and the Cloud Product Marketing Manager for UK-based Canonical/Ubuntu. She also worked as the UK Marketing Manager at Japanese software company NTT Data, and the Solutions Marketing Manager and Leadership Program participant at Avaya Inc. in the UK and US. She also spent several years as a Software Engineer and Team Leader at Novell Inc in Germany. As an AI expert, Radwan participated as a speaker at several AI conferences in Europe and the US, and served as a consultant to many startups and investors in AI areas, especially health systems. Radwan earned a BSc in Computer Engineering from Cairo University in 2000. She received her MBA from London Business School (LBS), UK, in 2006, and a MSc in Clinical Engineering and Healthcare Technology Management from City University of London, UK, in 2012. She is persuing her PhD thesis in computer engineering, specializing in AI and bioinformatics analysis from the Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.

MAIKKI SIPINENPolicy Officer, Artificial IntelligenceEuropean CommissionI am currently busy with: driving and renewing the EU Coordinated Plan on development and use of AI with the Member States, estimating total investment in AI in the EU, technical specifications for high-risk AI applications in the new regulation, AI funding scheme through VCs, accelerating public procurement of AI-based systems in the EU. I work in an unit advacing Technologies and Systems for Digitising Industry at Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology. I am here on a secondment from Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland.

ANNA ROYSenior Advisor, NITI AayogGovernment of IndiaMs Anna Roy is from the Indian Economic Service. She has received her education from Shri Ram Collage of Commerce, Delhi University and Delhi School of Economics. She was a lecturer in Delhi University and TERI before joining the IES. In the government she has worked in Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Civil Aviation and NITI Aayog. She has worked in important sectors like Infrastructure reforms, public private partnership, financial sector and banking sector. In NITI Aayog she heads the vertical dealing with data management and frontier technologies. In this role she has led teams which has brought out major reports like the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain- the India Strategy, Approach Paper on AIRAWAT and a draft discussion paper on AI and Ethics. Ms Roy also heads the Women Entrepreneurship Platform, a NITI flagship that work towards developing the ecosystem.

CATELIJNE MULLERPresidentALLAICatelijne Muller is President of ALLAI, an independent organisation that promotes Responsible AI. She is a member of the EU High Level Expert Group on AI where she co-lead the development of the Assessment List for Trustworthy AI. She is AI-Rapporteur at the European Economic and Social Commission (EESC), where she wrote the first EU-level opinion on AI & Society in 2017 as well as the opinion on the EU Whitepaper on AI. She was President of the EESC Temporary Studygroup on AI from 2018 - 2012, that lead to the formation of a new EESC body, the Digital Single Market Observatory, of which she is currently a member. She advises the Council of Europe's Commission on AI (CAHAI) on "The Impact of AI on Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law". Catelijne holds a masters degree in Dutch Civil Law and worked as a high-stakes lawyer/litigator from 1997 - 2012.

MARKUS SCHMITZCIOFederal Employment AgencyDr. Schmitz studied social sciences and history in Münster, Oxford, Bern and Bonn. After completing his doctorate, he initially worked as a management consultant in the telecommunications and human resources sectors, as well as in the Public Sector. Dr. Schmitz has been employed at the Federal Employment Agency since 2005 and was responsible for several major projects within the so-called Hartz reforms. From 2009 to 2014, he was Managing Director of the Head Office for Product Development of Basic Income Security and at the same time responsible for the Migration Coordination Office and the specialist services of the Federal Agency. From 2015 to October 2016, Dr. Schmitz was Chairman of the Management Board of the Bavarian Regional Office of the Federal Employment Agency. Since November 2016, Dr. Markus Schmitz has been CIO, General Representative, and Managing Director of the Information Technology and Digital Processes department at the headquarters of the Federal Employment Agency. Dr. Schmitz is also an honorary professor at the University of the Federal Employment Agency.
