Artificial Intelligence is often described as a transformative technological revolution, yet two critical questions remain underexplored. How will AI shape the lives and opportunities of Generation Alpha, those born in and after 2010, who will begin entering the workforce within the next five to ten years? And how is AI already contributing to a widening gap in access to tools, skills, and opportunity? As a member of Generation Alpha, I offer a perspective that is frequently absent from discussions on AI. Through my engagement with over 1,000 students via TalentX (www.TalentX.world), my internship with an AI education company, and my research on India’s Right to Education (RTE) ecosystem, I have seen firsthand an emerging divide between young people with access to AI tools and those with little or no exposure to them. In this talk, I examine what this growing “AI divide” could mean for the future of opportunity, and how, if thoughtfully designed and implemented, AI has the potential to serve as a powerful equalizer in education rather than a driver of inequality.
