  • Date
    7 July 2026
    Timeframe
    14:00 - 14:30 CEST
    Duration
    30 minutes

This panel showcases how responsible and inclusive AI can accelerate progress toward global food security and resilient agrifood systems. Building on FAO’s AI Roadmap, Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Portal, and growing leadership in UN digital governance, the session brings together FAO experts and key partners to demonstrate how science‑based, ethical and interoperable AI solutions are already transforming agricultural decision-making, climate resilience, and capacity building.

Through concrete use cases, such as hyperlocal AI advisory services for farmers, the panel illustrates practical pathways for countries to scale digital public goods, reduce digital divides, and apply responsible‑by‑design innovation. The discussion highlights the importance of multi‑stakeholder cooperation, local‑first deployment models, and community‑driven innovation to ensure AI benefits reach smallholders and vulnerable populations.

Ultimately, the session aims to position agriculture as a critical frontier to inspire coordinated action to deploy trustworthy AI that advances resilience, climate adaptation, productivity, and inclusive participation in the digital era.
