    This webinar is being organized as part of the activities of the AI and Multimedia standards collaboration under the World Standards Cooperation (IEC, ISO and ITU). Misinformation and deepfakes can have far-reaching consequences in many policy areas ranging from public health to national security. It can cast doubt on factual evidence and jeopardise the implementation of public policies. This webinar will explore how media companies including social media are addressing these challenges and discuss policies and tools that can enhance the transparency and accountability of information sources; and governance measures to uphold the integrity and trust of the information space.

    1) Discuss the challenges facing media companies with regards to misinformation and deepfakes
    2) Assess the policy and governance measures implemented by media organizations to mitigate the impact of misinformation and deepfakes
