This session will explore how emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) can be leveraged within the domain of digital agriculture, focusing on how standardization can unlock the full potential of these AI-driven solutions in the sector. Panellists will discuss the critical role of international standards in ensuring interoperability, data security, and scalability of AI applications across agricultural production processes. The session will further put the spotlight on how the collaborative standardization efforts led by UN agencies including ITU and FAO, is revolutionizing precision farming, crop management, and sustainable agricultural practices to address global food security challenges in line with Sustainable Development Goal 2.
