Answer: The scholar program was a rigorous academic initiative aimed at nurturing students who have shown outstanding potential and commitment in their studies. It provided the participants with specialized mentoring, advanced resources, and opportunities for research and leadership. The program’s goal was to foster intellectual growth and prepare students for future academic and professional success.
What activities did you participate in during the scholar program?
Answer: We presented our Use case document on” Using AI to reduce the 6G standards barrier for African contributors” We had a Panel discussion with AI for Good Scholars on their experiences and learnings on the use cases. The scholar program allowed us to present our use case at the in-person workshop at the AI for Good Summit on May 30, 2024, in Geneva. This provided a chance to showcase our work to a global audience of experts, policymakers, and stakeholders. The workshop was conducted at the International Conference Center Geneva (CICG) on Rue de Varembé 17, 1202 Geneva, Switzerland. Specialized Mentoring: Regular sessions with experienced mentors to guide the academic journey and provide career advice.

Answer: I benefited from the scholar program in several significant ways: Enhanced Academic Skills: The program’s advanced coursework and research opportunities deepened my knowledge and improved my critical thinking and analytical skills. Mentorship: Personalized mentoring provided valuable guidance on academic and career decisions, helping me navigate my path more effectively. Professional Development: Workshops and seminars on leadership, communication, and time management equipped me with essential professional skills. Research Experience: Participating in research projects allowed me to gain hands-on experience, develop problem-solving skills, and contribute to my field. Networking: Meeting professionals, alumni, and fellow scholars expanded my professional network, opening doors for future opportunities and collaborations. Leadership Skills: Taking on leadership roles in various activities helped me build confidence, teamwork abilities, and organizational skills.
