Zhiyuan HU

Ms. Zhiyuan HU is the Director of Security Research at vivo Mobile Communication, leading research on mobile terminal security, data security, and privacy protection. She is committed to integrating advanced security research into product design and development to enhance the user security experience.
With over two decades of experience in security research and standardization, Ms. Zhiyuan HU currently serves as Chair of ITU-T WP4/SG17 (Security of AI, cloud computing, big data infrastructures, services and applications) and is the director of the steering committee for the workshop “Designing the Trust Management for Agentic AI.” Her leadership track record includes Vice-Chair of WP2/SG17 (5G, IoT & ITS security), Co-Rapporteur and Associate Rapporteur of Q2/SG17 (Security Architecture and Network Security). She has also served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the OMA (Open Mobile Alliance) Security Working Group, and as Vice-Chair of CCSA (China Communications Standards Association) TC5 WG5 (Wireless Communication Security). She completed to publish more than 20 specifications.
Previously, Ms. HU worked as a security researcher at Nokia Shanghai Bell, focusing on telecommunication network security. Her research portfolio spans wireless network security (3G/4G/5G), WLAN security, mobile application security, cloud computing security, network equipment security assessments, blockchain applications, and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
Ms. Zhiyuan HU holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, alongside a Master’s in Marine Physics and a Bachelor’s in Physics.
