Violeta M. Valcheva is a filmmaker, creative director, technologist, entrepreneur, writer, and strategist working at the intersection of art, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Her work explores the creative potential of AI across film, digital media, and immersive storytelling, blending artistic experimentation with technological innovation.

With a multidisciplinary background spanning performance, choreography, curation, filmmaking, and emerging media, Violeta has worked across disciplines—from moving image and experimental cinema to site-specific performances and digital installations. Her artistic practice explores themes of identity, memory, transformation, consciousness, and the evolving relationship between humans and technology. Combining poetic storytelling with emerging technologies, she creates cinematic and immersive experiences that challenge traditional boundaries between art, technology, and culture.

Her work and collaborations have been presented internationally in Berlin, London, Italy, and Tokyo, including projects and performances at galerie gerken, Reinbeckhallen Berlin, Alte Münze, Theatermitte, Tate Modern, Barbican, University of the Arts London, and collaborations between Central Saint Martins and Tokyo University of the Arts. Her short film Fade & Float was selected for multiple international film festivals and received the Gold Laurel Award for Best Shorter Short at the London Short Film Festival.

Alongside her artistic practice, Violeta collaborates with startups, creative studios, and technology companies on creative direction, AI-driven media, content strategy, product narratives, and emerging technology ecosystems. She is particularly interested in the intersection of AI, storytelling, and human experience, and is currently focused on developing innovative approaches to
AI-powered filmmaking, creative production, and narrative design.

An advocate for creative experimentation and technological literacy, she regularly organizes educational and community initiatives around AI and digital culture and speaks on the impact of emerging technologies on art, media, and society. Through her work, she seeks to bridge the worlds of creativity and innovation, using technology not as a replacement for human imagination, but as a catalyst for expanding it.
