Vijay Solanky

Vijay Solanky is a Program Manager at Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR), where he leads technology and AI-driven innovation for climate-resilient development. As a tech leader in the social sector, he is driving the integration of AI, geospatial intelligence, and data systems to transform how development organizations design, implement, and scale impact.

He is currently heading the development of AI-ready data infrastructure and decision-support platforms that leverage over three decades of field data, while guiding teams to adopt emerging technologies in practical, ethical, and scalable ways. His work focuses on bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI and real-world challenges—particularly in agriculture, water security, and ecosystem restoration.

Vijay brings a practitioner’s perspective on leading digital transformation in resource-constrained environments, making AI actionable and accessible for the Global South.
