Sooji Seo is Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Information & Digital, and Chief Privacy Officer of 3M Company. Sooji serves as primary general counsel for the IT and Cybersecurity organization and leads our legal support for privacy, digital, cybersecurity, records management and IT sourcing. Working closely with 3M’s senior leadership, and other key stakeholders, Sooji’s global legal and privacy compliance team provides strategic legal support and guidance to effectively manage 3M’s enterprise privacy and cybersecurity regulatory compliance risks.

Prior to 3M, Sooji worked for Dell Technologies, where she served as Dell’s Vice President of Ethics and Compliance and Chief Privacy Officer, with broad legal leadership responsibility. During her 15-year Dell career, Sooji has served in a variety of data privacy, IT, crisis management, cybersecurity and other legal roles in the U.S. and Asia, including Global Senior Privacy Program Director, Acting Global Ethics and Compliance Officer for SecureWorks (a Dell subsidiary), and Managing Legal Director, Asia.

Prior to joining Dell in 2007, Sooji was the General Counsel, Asia Pacific Region with Hunter Douglas from 2005-2007; Deputy General Counsel, Asia and New Zealand at Chubb from 2002- 2005. Sooji began her legal career as an Associate at the Ashurst law firm from 1998-2001, before moving to the Minter Ellison firm as a Senior Associate from 2001-2002. Sooji holds a Bachelor of Science and Mathematics Degree from the University of New South Wales and her Bachelor of Laws Degree (Honors) from the University of Technology Sydney School of Law
