Simone Teglia

Simone Teglia is a first-year PhD student in Engineering in Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. He earned his Master’s degree in 2024, followed by a research fellowship contract in 2025 that further solidified his academic foundation. His current research specializes in deepfake and multimodal deepfake detection, with a particular focus on the resilience of forensic detectors against real-world digital ecosystem signatures such as social media degradation, computational photography, and next-generation neural compression standards like JPEG AI. Beyond the laboratory, Simone contributes to the broader community through event organization, recently serving the organizing team for TEDxSapienzaU.
