RehabCoach

RehabCoach

RehabCoach is a smartphone application powered by AI-based conversational agents designed to support neurological patients in home-based therapy without direct therapist supervision. Through its interactive chat interface, patients can engage with a virtual coach for exercise reminders, therapy guidance, and access to educational materials. RehabCoach can also be combined with a portable rehabilitation device, such as the upper-limb rehabilitation robotic device ReHandyBot, developed at ETH Zürich, to further enhance therapy options. Ongoing clinical studies focus on assessing the feasibility of the digital health intervention delivered through the RehabCoach application in combination with ReHandyBot. The goal of RehabCoach is to empower patients in their rehabilitation journey beyond the clinical setting by promoting adherence, motivation, and ultimately better therapy outcomes.
