Preksha Shah

Dr. Preksha Shah is an experienced Research Scientist and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, currently serving as a Project Research Scientist at IIT Bombay. She has a demonstrated record of success in conducting and publishing high-impact research across domains central to next-generation wireless communications and intelligent network systems. Her research interests span across 5G and 6G technologies, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for network optimization, Terahertz (THz) and millimeter wave (mmWave) communications, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), massive MIMO (mMIMO), and Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS).

She is currently serving as a Co-Chair of Working Group 4 (WG4) in the ITU-T Focus Group on AI-Native Networks (FGAINN). Dr. Shah is also an active contributor to 3GPP, contributing to standards development around AI integration and energy efficiency in next-generation mobile networks.

In recognition of her impactful work, she was honored as one of “100 Brilliant and Inspiring Women in 6G” (2024) by Women in 6G™.

She has authored/co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and conferences on 6G, AI-native networks, and wireless communications. Dr. Shah has served as a reviewer for several international journals, further underscoring her active engagement in the global research community.

Her work sits at the intersection of AI-driven network intelligence and future wireless technologies, positioning her as a key contributor in shaping the evolution toward AI-native 6G networks.
