Matthias Uhl

Matthias Uhl heads the research group “Ethics of Digitization” at the TUM School of Governance of the Technical University of Munich. The group focuses on ethical implications of human-machine interactions and folk intuitions with regard to the use of algorithms in moral domains. Matthias has obtained his PhD in economics at the University of Jena and his habilitation in philosophy at TU Munich. He considers himself a behavioral ethicist who applies experimental and other empirical methods to answer questions of ethical interest. Further areas of interest are business ethics, experimental economics and philosophy of science.
