Matthias Oschinski

Matthias Oschinski

Dr. Matthias Oschinski is a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), where he leads research on the workforce and education. Part of his work examines how AI is reshaping labor markets and skills, focusing both on the pace of adoption and on its quality — and on the institutions that shape it, including worker voice and social dialogue. Much of his recent work is comparative, drawing on parallel studies of AI governance and adoption in the United States and Germany. In addition, he leads CSET’s research on PATHWISE, a workforce-intelligence tool mapping skills and career pathways and tracking the AI and cyber workforce. Matthias holds a PhD in Economics from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany and a Masters degree from the University of Oxford, UK.
