Liyan Liang

Dr. Liang Liyan graduated from Tsinghua University and currently serves as a Senior Engineer at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). His main research focuses on Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), signal and information processing, communication technologies, and BCI core technology and standardization.
He has led or participated in over 10 research projects in various fields. He spearheaded the construction of a BCI testing and verification system, and organized the industry‑wide release of the BCI Standardization Roadmap (2025). He has led or contributed to the development of 9 industry and group standards, including the first consumer‑grade BCI standard in China: T/CAS 891—2024 Technical Requirements and Test Methods for EEG‑Based Attention Monitoring Systems. Since joining CAICT, he has published 9 papers, with over 20 academic papers on BCI in total, and holds 6 national invention patents.
He organized and spoke at the BCI forum of the AI for Good Global Summit 2025, and has co‑organized 2 sessions of the China Brain‑Computer Interface Competition and 6 sessions of the BCI Brain‑Controlled Robot Competition.
