Kari Eik

Ms. Eik is the initiator of the USC (United Smart Cities) program and the Co-Chair of U4SSC, United for Smart Sustainable Cities, a global integrated UN initiative on urban development and smart cities. In addition, she is a senior advisor to governments, cities and UN agencies in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 11 Sustainable Cities. She is currently the Co-Chair of REM, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Real Estate Advisory Board, and is leading its Working Group on urban development and smart cities. The focus of OiER (www.oier.pro) is to support both governments and businesses to strengthen cooperation and develop international networks, enhance and identify investment opportunities, and develop, implement and finance global projects in cooperation with UN agencies and other international organizations.
