József Váncza

József Váncza

Dr. József Váncza is Head of the Laboratory for Engineering and Business Intelligence at the HUN-REN Research Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), Budapest, Hungary. His research interests encompass engineering applications of artificial intelligence, production informatics, cyber-physical production systems, human-robot collaboration, and cooperative and sustainable manufacturing in networks. He has received prestigious honors, including the Knight Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic in 2008 and the Dennis Gábor Prize for Innovation in 2021. He has been involved in university education for three decades, teaching at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He is Fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), and of the International Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET) and is in the editorial board of some top engineering journals.
