John Walsh

John is the Founder and CEO of Red Summit, a board services and advisory firm to over 100 start-ups around the world, helping companies summit their most difficult challenges like strategy, new market entry, growth acceleration, strategic partners, M&A, and capital financing.  He is also an executive in a Veritas Capital owned company Peraton helping them expand into the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  He is on the boards of the American Red Cross National Capital Region, the American Association of People with Disabilities, and a few technology start-ups.  He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Private Directors Association, and contributing author at the Forbes Technology Council. 

John combines his passion for helping people live better lives and technology working as a board member at non-profits and also as board member or advisor for next generation artificial intelligence and machine learning enabled SaaS platforms focused on healthcare, aging, disability, safety, independent living, and security.  The platforms he works with today have improved and saved countless lives, educated over 5 million people on working effectively with people with disabilities, found over 20 human trafficking victims, and reduced medical costs for patients by over $200M. 

John holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, and completed additional post-graduate work at the Executive Leadership program at Cornell University and the Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy program at MIT Sloan School of Management & MIT Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
