Gregory Renard

Gregory Renard is an artificial intelligence architect, entrepreneur, and pioneer in applied AI, active since 1996. With more than 25 years of experience, he specializes in natural language processing, knowledge graphs, conversational systems, and large-scale AI deployment. In 2012, he created Angie, one of Europe’s first large-scale conversational assistants, often described as the French equivalent of Siri.

He has authored multiple publications and patents in AI, voice technologies, and human-machine knowledge transfer. His work received international recognition, including the NASA Frontier Development Lab AI Merit Award (2022) and the Walloon Merit Award (2025), where he was honored at officer level for his contribution to technological innovation.

Gregory Renard has advised governments, global companies, and research institutions on AI strategy, governance, and industrial deployment. Since 2016, he has actively promoted ethical and human-centered AI, co-initiating early responsible AI initiatives in France, contributing to the AI for Humanity movement, and co-authoring the Holberton-Turing Oath, an ethical commitment for AI engineers.

He is also co-founder and Board President of Everyone.AI, a nonprofit dedicated to responsible AI and child protection, advocating for technology that combines measurable impact, ethics, and human progress.
