Fabian Roman

Chemical Engineer from the National University of Buenos Aires, Specialist in Sustainable Development from the Bolivarian University of Chile, and Master in Sustainable Tourism Management from the University for International Cooperation, Fabián is Co-Founder and President of the Plan21 Foundation for Sustainable Human Development of Argentina and has a long academic career as Professor and Director of research at the National University of Lanús.

During his professional life, he has worked in more than 20 countries and has been part of projects of multilateral and bilateral organizations and the private sector. He was also a co-founder of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, where he served as the first Latin American representative on the Board in 2010-2012. He has been a guest speaker in many countries, and these efforts have been dedicated to supporting the promotion of the sustainable human development paradigm in Latin America for the expansion of opportunities and individual capacities to build more equitable and supportive societies.

Currently, he is also a member of the Advisory Council on Climate Change of the City of Buenos Aires and part of the Steering Committee of the Responsible Tourism Institute of Spain.
