Enrica Porcari

Enrica Porcari, CERN’s Chief Information Officer since 2026, is a global technology and innovation leader with over 30 years of experience driving digital transformation, international development, and knowledge management across humanitarian and scientific organisations.

As CIO, she is a member of CERN’s senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the Organization’s digital strategy, overseeing enterprise information and digital services, and ensuring the performance, resilience, and evolution of critical platforms supporting a global scientific community. She plays a key role in aligning technology with CERN’s mission, strengthening governance, and enabling innovation at scale.

She joined CERN in 2021 as Head of the Information Technology Department. Prior to this, she served as Chief Information Officer at the World Food Programme, where she also chaired the UN Emergency Telecommunications Cluster. Earlier in her career, she was the inaugural CIO at CGIAR, the world’s largest agricultural research partnership for a food-secure future, where she also held leadership roles including Director of Shared Services and Communications.

Enrica is passionate about leveraging technology to empower people, foster collaboration, and enable sustainable change at scale. She specialises in translating technological potential into measurable impact, bridging strategy, innovation, and human outcomes.
