Vincent F. Valentine

Vincent Valentine is a development economist with more than 30 years professional work experience. For more than 20 years he has worked with the United Nations, serving first in UN’s regional commission in Bangkok, Thailand (UNESCAP), and presently at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva, Switzerland, where he has held various roles including acting as the Chief of Transport (5 years) and Principal Author and Coordinator of a major Flagship publication (10 years).

Prior to joining the UN, he worked in London’s financial services sector (6 years) and later in academia (7 years) where he earned a Ph.D. for his research into trade efficiency.

Currently he is engaged in working on various projects within UNCTAD’s Trading Systems, Services and the Creative Economy Branch.
