Cristina Tanasescu

Cristina Tanasescu has completed her doctor of optometry at the University of Montreal and afterwards, earned her master’s in business administration (M.B.A.) at the Université Laval, alongside her clinical work.

She currently practices at various ophthalmology clinics in the Montreal area, with a focus on corneal pathologies as well as in pediatric settings, caring for babies and children, including children with special needs. She also works firsthand in remote northern first nations communities in Canada, specifically the Cree communities of James Bay, flying out every month to the local community hospitals.

Concurrently, Dr Tanasescu is a consultant for the Eye Disease Foundation (Fondation des maladies de l’oeil) for their pediatric school and remote outreach programs in Montreal and she is part of the clinical teaching staff of the University of Montréal.

She has brought her clinical and managerial perspective since the beginning of Iriscience, as Chief of strategy.
