Catty Bennet Sattler

Catty Bennet Sattler is Director of People
Management at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, where she leads the global people function. She is a senior HR and transformation leader with extensive experience across the UN system, humanitarian sector and private sector, including UNHCR, ICRC, UNDP, UNICEF and Siemens. Her work spans leadership, strategy, organizational change, crisis response and the future of work, with a focus on building inclusive, resilient and future-ready organizations.

Catty also serves as Co-Chair of the CEB Human Resources Network and has led UN system-wide work on the future of the workforce and HR technology. Her current focus is on how organizations, and especially HR, can adapt to rapid technological, demographic and operational changes while keeping people, ethics and purpose at the centre. She is particularly interested in how technology, including AI, can help reimagine people management: moving HR beyond process and compliance towards deeper insight, better leadership, fairer decisions and more human support at scale.

A national of Sweden, Catty lives with her husband and two children in Geneva,
Switzerland.
