Bionic hand

Bionic hand

Our advanced design at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham marks a major leap in prosthetic technology, aiming to closely mimic the natural movements of the human hand. The standout feature of our bionic hand is its flexible metallic fingers, which dynamically conform to the shape of any object, offering 3-4 times the load capacity of rubber-based hands. This is achieved through innovative soft robotics, enabling the hand to handle delicate items like eggs and heavier objects like water bottles. Additionally, the design is lightweight, ergonomic, and user-friendly, with controls via switches or myoelectric signals.
