B-weh Trailblazers

B-weh Trailblazers

We are the B-weh Trailblazers from B-weh Schools in Ghana. Our team is made up of young learners between the ages of 9 and 14 who are passionate about robotics, artificial intelligence, innovation, and problem-solving. We enjoy learning how technology can be used to solve real-life problems in our communities and around the world.

Although our Lab is less than one year old, the program has already made a strong impact through creativity, teamwork, and innovation. In a short time, our learners have developed practical skills in coding, robotics, engineering, and critical thinking through hands-on learning experiences and competitions.

Our team participated in the AI for Good Youth Challenge Ghana Competition and emerged as winners in the junior category, earning the opportunity to represent Ghana at the AI for Good Youth Challenge World Championship in Geneva, Switzerland.
For this competition, we designed and programmed agricultural robots that help improve farming activities such as harvesting fruits, planting seeds, and irrigation. Our robots were built using LEGO SPIKE Prime and Whalesbot AI Module 3s. Through teamwork, creativity, testing, and continuous improvements, we were able to develop robots that could complete tasks efficiently and autonomously.

Throughout the season, we learned valuable skills including coding, teamwork, communication, resilience, and problem-solving. As young innovators from Ghana, we are proud to showcase our skills and inspire other young people to use robotics and AI to create solutions for global challenges
