Ammar Muthanna

Prof. Ammar Muthanna (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D., Dr.Sc. degrees from the Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, in 2009, 2011, 2016, and 2023 respectively. Dr. Ammar holds a Professor position at the Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. From 2017 to 2019, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher and from 2020 he is director of Scientific Center for Future Wireless Networks Modeling at RUDN University. He took part in the Erasmus Student Program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, in 2012 and 2013, and was a Visitor Researcher at Tampere University, Finland, in 2014. He is an IEEE Senior Member and an ACM Professor Member. He has been an Active Member of the Technical Program Committee on many international conferences and journals, serving as Chair/Co-Chair of several Scopus conferences, he serves as an academic editor or associate editor for many indexed journals in the Web of Science (WoS) and ScopusHe is also an Editor of draft recommendations in ITU-T SG 11, SG 13, and SG 16He is the Expert on the Judges Panel and the Challenge Management Board at AI-5G-Challenge, ITU, and Organizer of the Russian Host in 2020 and 2021 at Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. His research interests include wireless communications, 5G/6G cellular systems, artificial intelligence, High-density IoT, telepresence applications, edge/fog computing, and software-defined networking.
