Alejandro Zegarra Saldaña

Alejandro Zegarra Saldaña studied Business Administration at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón, He studied for a Master’s degree in Economics, at the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands, obtaining the Dutch title of Doctorandus Economicus or its equivalent to a Master of Science. His specialization was in International Business.

He completed his PhD at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain in Integration of Information Technologies in organizations, with a double degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Privada Boliviana.

Alejandro has completed several specialization courses: Entrepreneurship Promotion (CASIN-Switzerland), Social Capital, Ethics and Development (Organization of American States, United States), Virtual Tutoring Training (Organization of American States, United States) and Strategic Management (Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands)

He has done several consultancies for the International Trade Center, participating as a facilitator and coach in training programs in cities in Brazil and Peru. He has also collaborated with consultants from the International Trade Centre, in the adaptation of the Integrated Management System model to the coffee sector in Uganda and the Development of Competitiveness Indicators for small and medium-sized enterprises.

He is an undergraduate and graduate professor, with more than 15 years of teaching experience and has led several academic units at the Universidad Privada Boliviana.

He is currently General Director of Saint Andrews School, in the city of La Paz and is Vocal Director of Fortaleza Leasing and Banco Fortaleza.
