The International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) AI for Good is launching two simultaneous global calls to contribute to a global repository of AI-driven solutions for sustainable development.

First – we are asking for innovative AI use cases impacting sectors and providing solutions across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Selected use cases may be featured and highlighted at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva from 30-31 May 2024, and stand a chance to win mentoring, prizes and resources.

Second – Applications are open for AI for Good Scholars who would work closely with ITU to develop, analyse and refine AI use cases for the SDGs and receive funding to attend the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, in addition to recognition and mentoring.

These global calls are supported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China and will support the work of AI for Good’s 27,000 members as we continue to build an inclusive AI community for sustainable development.

This broad call invites submissions from Academia and Research Entities, Startups, Industry, Policymakers and Government Bodies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Civil Organizations and Individual Innovators.

The deadline to apply is 31 March, 2024.
